Happy Garbage Day
Forget visiting doctors, where will the gang members stay without short-term rentals?
The City of Prince George writes:
The new curbside garbage collection schedule starts tomorrow (March 1). Here are four ways to get the schedule:
Check your latest City utility invoice. Inside the utility bill envelope, you can find a printed 2024-2025 collection schedule.
Download and view the latest garbage collection schedule on our website.
Receive email or text reminders for both curbside garbage and recycling collection. Set an alert a week or 1, 12, 24, or 48 hours before collection
Create a custom downloadable or exportable curbside garbage and recycling calendar.
- Export the collection schedule to your smartphone or email calendar.
- Generate an online calendar based on your preferences and download or print.
Visit our website for more: www.princegeorge.ca/garbage.
Honestly, signing up for a text alert the night before garbage day has been a gamechanger, 10/10 would recommend.

Gang members are visiting professionals, are they not? I mean, come on, they need a home away from home too, just like doctors and nurses and trades people. The local STR investors are providing a great service - they even accept cash as payment in this day and age of digital payment everything. How convenient for those who wish to pay 'large sums of cash upfront'!
(*sarcasm* in case you missed it)
It is a kind of funny to read the warning after hand-wringing by council and others, though.
PS: Love Courtney Love and Hole. Random trivia of the day: I have a skirt I bought at a Christchurch (NZ) street market in 2008, made of random fabrics and screenprinted with Courtney Love's face. The maker was thrilled that I bought it was taking it back to Canada. I still wear it. Watch for it to make an appearance in PG (in the warmer weather)!
