With it being so dark and rainy I’ve been seeking out things to make me feel more seasonal. Fortunately, this weekend came through. I started off by following through on one of those Instagram ads to see what these Fever concerts are about which advertise classical music and concerts. In the end, that’s what it was — a string quartet from Vancouver playing a mix of classic and contemporary Christmas songs with a bunch of (not real, but realistic) candles lighting the Knox Performance space.
Next weekend another group (or maybe the same one?) will be doing Coldplay songs and there’s a bunch of others scheduled in January. Basically it’s similar programs around the world and they get different musicians to put them on. Anyways, it was good!
Then on Saturday I went to Cottonwood where, believe it or not, the fog lifted and I didn’t take many pics except this one of all the duck footprints.
And yesterday, miracle of mircales, the trackers were able to get Otway skiable and I spent a good part of my day out there.
So overall, success!
This will be the last week for the newsletter until the new year, but I’ll probably finish out the week.

Prince George and area has produced several world Cup level snowboarders...but as far as I know the area does not have a snowboard club and none of the local ski areas have snow-cross features. Where are these folks picking it up? Is it something they get into when they move away?
