The first snow (that stuck around) has fallen, and the clocks have fallen back so it’s getting dark earlier. Winter is on its way.
Two bits of business news came across my feed this weekend.
The first is this:
Apparently in the works for a while now, the Strike Zone 10 pin bowling alley now has an arcade/games area. I haven’t gone so not sure if this is replacing the mini golf or in addition to it, but either way I’m curious how the city does with both this and the new spot in the Nicholson area that’s opening up. It’s be nice to see both do well, and there be a few options for the city.
The second was this:
Brixx seems to be a B.C. chain that maybe started in Nelson, and has since expanded to Vernon, Cranbrook, Salmon Arm and Smithers. I can’t tell where in town it’s opening, but there’s several places that I think would make sense, so we’ll see.
