That British guy from clips you see on Facebook is coming to town
And the Northern B.C. Toy Expo is coming, too
I vaguely recognize Jimmy Carr because his face pops up in a lot of comedy clips I see on Facebook and YouTube but I’ve never really looked into him. Apparently, he’s one of the more succesful UK comics going, though, and he’s coming to town as part of his third tour of Canada. Tickets go on sale Friday.
Environment Canada says we got 31 cm of snow between 7 am Monday and 7 Tuesday. Now the cold sets in again.

CNC has a new support fund in honour of Elsie Osterberg. According to her obituary, “Elsie did everything from panning gold to running her own upholstery business. Helicopters were her upholstery passion (from full interiors to seat slips and blade covers). But her retirement passion was hand braided and sewn recycled fabric floor rugs. Although she lost count, there are a few hundred scattered around communities with family and friends,” and one of those is on display in the CNC library, now, too.
A symposium on housing is happening at the beginning of March.
The Two Rivers Art Gallery is looking for a new executive director.
The first ever Northern B.C. Toy Expo is coming this April.
A march for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls is happening Thursday.
So is a ceremony marking the one-year anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
