In the Citizen article this is one of the proposed "cuts" but it doesn't list how much it would save: "increased vice-principal teaching time/reduced teacher allocation of 0.2 full-time equivalent per school at Quinson, Spruceland, Ron Brent, Harwin and Nusdeh Yoh elementaries".
Vice-principals make more money than teachers so I'm not sure how reducing teacher allocation and having a vice-principal step into that role saves money. It would save more money to reduce the vice-principal allocation by 0.2 and keep teachers in those roles instead of paying an administrator vice-principal wages to do teacher work.
