The sign is serious - someone who lives just a few doors down from that corner had a very scary moose interaction 2 or 3 months ago in the trails just beyond that sign. There are 2 moose that have been present in the neighbourhood since spring.
where abouts? Friends of mine live in lower CH and walk the trails daily with their pups. They had a couple of run-ins with moose in that area last year - same attack moose, or do the moose have battalions sprinkled throughout the city?
This is one of the Moore’s Meadow entrances, just a little ways down from Rocky Mountain Rangers, which is where these Moose have been seen several times in the last week…. I suspect any Moose that lives in the city long enough will learn to create some space between itself and people/dogs
