I think in PG, probably Airbnb doesn’t have the biggest impact on local real estate. That danger exists more in heavy tourism zones. That said, I can’t imagine I’d be too happy if I lived in College Heights and the house next door was essentially functioning as a hotel.
In reading the piece about mandatory Holocaust education in elementary schools, which I applaud, I could hear the keyboard warriors smashing away in some deep Telegram chat somewheres.
The fact there is a "local history" FB page that is deep into residential school denialism and all things racially gross (I lurk and poke at it every few weeks), Holocaust education and education of similar histories where specific groups have been (and still are) targeted by hate and oppression is critically needed as a standard part of the school curriculum.
