Thanks for putting the story about changed electoral district boundaries at the top of the news roundup section. So I find that - by about 200 m - I've been swapped into the same constituency as Toad River - a mere 10 1/2 hours away by road.
It's time for PG to be its own electoral district!
I share your frustrations Paul as we are in a similar spot. I understand elections Canada works based off of population and not area. However I do think we’d a lot be better represented if we had a pg specific riding.
I also did a double take at those numbers. My best guess is that the "$700 related to the carbon tax" is counting the tax on both ends - the industry tax and the pump tax - as that works out to 35% (700/2000).
