We need somewhere to find out why Mr. PG is holding the flags he does
It's a roundup newsletter
This Reddit post, and a question posed to me in person recently, reminds me: we need somewhere to find out what’s behind the various flags Mr. PG holds. Different community groups can get him to hold special flags for awareness of different things, but I have zero clue how to find out what it is at any given time. So this is me putting it out there that that should change!
Picking up where we left last Friday, yes, city staff asked RCMP to attend the most recent official community plan hearings and no they did not tell councillors. Views are mixed. Some people are *shrug emoji* it’s a public meeting, who cares who was there? On the other end of the spectrum are people who view this as a complete breakdown in public trust. I imagine a certain amount of this is coloured by your level of comfort around police, generally, and police who are monitoring you without your knowledge, specifically, regardless of whether they are doing so in a public setting or not. From what I can gather, the question is still being pursued through city hall but it’s unclear if the results will be public or not.
Meanwhile, hearings into the official community plan continue tonight, idk if the cops will be there.
Also not sure coun. Trudy Klassen will be there as she is taking part in a conference on small and medium sized cities dealing with the toxic drug crisis that is happening in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Here’s Prince George-North Cariboo MLA Sheldon Clare singing in the B.C. legislature for two minutes:
Speaking of the legislature, remember when there was a mini-controversy because a YouTube from Prince George who’d spoken unfavourably about Doug Ford’s retaliation toward Trump was introduced there last month? He’s moving to Alberta:
But not before endorsing the local Conservatives.

Lheidli T'enneh chief reflects on election, priorities for new term. I didn’t notice their council size has grown due to population growth. Lots of policy in here, as well as news that the new daycare in Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park, operated by the First Nation, is opening next month. Here’s some interviews with the councillors, as well.

Grifter's going to grift. Good riddance to Mr "Sunshine".
Mister Sunshine Baby, or Jasper Sunshine is a transient. He isn't from Prince George. He is a self admitted mentally unstable veteran.
You just need to google Jasper Sunshine or Vanlife Diaries.
I don't like that he is now portrayed as leaving BC as if he has lived here a long time, he has not.
It was very strange that he was invited to the legislature in the first place.
