Some of the memes are funny, I'll give them that. I've never understood why the city *needs* a publicly funded department that puts this sort of thing out. I do wonder what we could get instead.
it's not all they do - it's a comms department. Most of the posts are straightforward notices on things like road changes, parks stuff, public engagement. They mix in some humourous posts, and those tend to get more attention - for obvious reasons. But if you look at, for example, Facebook, it's also helped establish a back-and-forth with people interested in city business
